and these are a few of my favorite things (this week...):
[+] i don't usually go bananas over kate spade (i know, i know, am i even a girl!?) but i am swooning over this ring a little bit.
[+] this geometric + calm feeling scarf (found via could i have that).
[+] i'm dying to make this drink which combines two of my absolute favorites (gin + pomegranates) -- seems perfect for the holidays.
[+] as if we needed another reason to visit nyc and all of our wonderful friends, caroline strongly recommended to me the other day that we try this amazing restaurant.
[+] this outfit. if you've ever lived with me, you know that once i put together a great outfit, i usually never take it off either.
[+] this blog. it's been my favorite as of late.
[+] warm coffee in the chilly morning.
[+] trying my hand at cooking things i've never cooked before (chili + soup - two of the easiest things on the planet, i know).
[+] another amazing article written about my awesome "celebrity" brother-in-law, sam and his wicked sweet beer store.
[+] these stylish re-usable bags. i ordered some yesterday for my sissy + lucy.
[+] silence. kasi is teaching me to appreciate it.
[+] december.
it's already december. i'm actually writing this post yesterday, on the 1st of december, when today i have a dinner date with one of my best friends, and when yesterday - the 30th of nov - something terrible happened to my boss (health-wise, please keep him in your thoughts!). now | currently | presently: all i can do is remember to be thankful. to be grateful. to remember the good. to count my blessings. to do all of these things everyday.
and also, reflection. there is a lot of that happening now that it's december. the very last month of 2011. a whole entire year of my life sans my papa. pretty
you'll probably see a lot more of these reflection posts this month. especially since my favorite aunt, the aunt who is my second mom and who has lived near me in DC since i moved here at the age of 10, is moving to england to live permanently with her hubs in two short weeks. we all knew this was coming for a long while - and i couldn't be happier for her - but what an emotional ride this is going to take me on. a book is closing. an era is ending.

are you guys ready for the new year? the holidays? what sorts of things are you looking forward to | what goals are you setting for yourself | what kind of reflection are you discovering? i'd be curious to know.
