the first thing kasi and i did when we pulled into paris after our train was delayed for hours, was to get lunch: a croque monsieur*. aside from dreaming of steak frites, this fancy grilled cheese was next on my list of foods to have in france [escargo didn't make the cut]. bar du central was located just across the street from the studio that we rented in the 7th arrondissement for two days, and was the perfect little cafe to pop into after checking-in. from here, la tour eiffel!

*kasi got the croque madame, which is the same as a croque monsieur, but with a fried egg on top. so good!
