bueno bueno custom key necklace

19 July 2011

i can't remember how i came upon mucho mucho bueno bueno, but once i started reading, i just couldn't stop.  these two texan sisters {brandi + kelly} are not only the hippest {and hippiest}, but they're smart, crafty, fun-loving, and inspirational.  daily posts not only give readers a play by play for fun DIY hair tricks + styles, yummy summer drinks, and ways to spice up your wardrobe, but they also sell some of the cool stuff they make online, too {including jewerly, personalized key necklaces, and feathered accessories}.

their custom key necklace immediately grabbed my eye when i saw everyone in their pictures wearing them.  i knew i had to have one, and lucky for me at the moment of this epiphany it was coincidentally already june, one of the four months out of the year that they sell custom keys {september is the next month!}.

as for the writing, you are limited to only nine characters, so i chose one of my favourite sayings / mottos:  que sera, sera -- short and sweet and to the point.  i originally wanted to go with the image of a feather, as i felt that signified a lot of things in my life, mostly those that i relate the saying to, but at the last second i changed the image to a pirate ship with a shining sun which somehow seems more optimistic and hopeful rather than a feather flying free.

i couldn't be more happy with my design and key, and the process and price!  not only was $60 totally resonable in my opinion {$40 for a regular / not customized key}, but the wait time to receive the necklace wasn't very long {two weeks max} and came in a uniquely decorated and personalized envelope.

thanks again bueno girls!
