one word:
PHANTOGRAM
we saw them wednesday night at the black cat.* suuuuuch a fun show! their electropop beats, fog machine + lazer lights created the perfect atmosphere for a full-on g&t infused dance party. how those super tall people standing in front of us stood with their arms folded the entire night, i'll never know.

and then after the show, this happened:
our first time to ben's chili bowl.
it's times like these when i'm ashamed to call myself a washintonian.

weekend plans? double date + sleeping in + richmond + 90s party.
jean jackets + glitter make-up + scrunchies.

have a fun weekend!

the first and last time i was at the black cat was 10 years ago (i can't even believe i'm old enough to say something like "10 years ago i was..."). i was 14. my older cousin michael, his girlfriend, heather (now his wife) and i all piled into heather's white stick shift pick up truck (i was smushed in the middle) to see my cousin's singer/songwriter friend courtney dowe play one of her very first shows ever. she was opening for some no name band called... citizen cope! i loved them right off the bat and immediately went home after the show to download all of the music i could of theirs illegally on kazaa.:)
