what i've learned in the "healthy" department thus far in 2011 (per my resolution to eat right, get healthy):
+ i've added greens to every meal, not just subsituted my meals for strictly salads
+ to liven up a boring salad, add mint
+ h2o. all day, errryday
+ some form of exercise/activity is necessary everyday or four times a week at least, whether that's a walk around the office, around the block, yoga, a quick run, or a full-on hour at the gym
+ but then don't get yourself down when you don't make it to the gym all week. we want healthy minds as well as healthy bodies! cut yourself some slack
+ snack snack snack. apples, oranges, luna bars
+ breakfast everyday
+ the best flavor of greek yogurt is vanilla, and the best brand of greek yogurt is trader joe's
+ greek yogurt is packed with protein as well as spinach (they are superfoods and give you energy instead of reaching for that second cup of coffee)
+ a series of love affairs (in this order) with spinach, arugala, sugar snap peas (instead of chips), now onto purple cabbage. mmm and lots of it!
+ tired of water? iced camomile (w. mint!) tea is incredibly refreshing and caffeine free so it won't de-hydrate you
+ craving a soda? add cranberry juice, OJ, grapefruit juice (anything really) to selzter water for that fizzy fix
+ it's okay to indulge once in a while. let it be seen as a treat or a reward for being so good and healthy
+ we're only human. go ahead and grab those frozen thin mints out of the freezer that your boyfriend so thoughtfully (or deviously) surprised you with ;)

I'm doing a ton of these things too. I wrote about it the other day :) Glad to see someone else on the same journey.
