this weekend, kasi and i
traveled eight loooong hours down to myrtle beach, south carolina for
his cousin's wedding [read: good ol' southern wedding]. it felt so good
to get away for a three-day weekend [i have another one this weekend],
and felt even better to spend some quality time with kasi's family.
his parents rented a condo in a new development-type area called
market common [similar to reston town center with the retail shops on
the bottom and the condos on top]. after one too many mimosas and a huge
brunch courtesy of kasi's mom, we went out for a little pre-wedding
shopping on sunday, where i scored a gorgeous dress from anthropologie on sale for a ridiculously amazing price, among a few other nicknacks for the apartment [i die
for their house&home section]. the dress seriously looked like a
water color painting.
now we are back home [and exhausted], and i have about three days to
turn around and get ready for my trip to NYC on friday. i couldn't be
more excited. all of my dad's favorite ladies are reuniting for the weekend [in his honor], and staying in an awesome townhouse we rented in park slope,
brooklyn.
i'll try my best to resume regularly scheduled
posting for this week. sorry about the missing music monday this week;
last week got away from me in terms of planning ahead / time management!
