scenes from my {birthday} weekend

georgetown from the kennedy center rooftop terrace | birthday cake from mamabear | vintage familia |  flowers from claire + alex | birthday celebrations with friends on saturday night | morning after pizza at 7th hill | we brought gilberto to stay with us for the week {huge mistake, we took him back last night} | impulse buy : new cheetah print loafers from f21 | fried plantains at my mom's and the first 'punkin' beer of the season | sunday night burgers at good stuff | gilly pissed at me in his cage;)

welp, that just about rounds out my 24th birthday celebrations.  

thanks to everyone who made me feel extra special this year!  i feel so lucky to be surrounded by such amazing and beautiful people; you spoiled me!

we saw shear madness last thursday and it was HILARIOUS - i highly recommend seeing it if you ever have the opportunity.  on friday, we went to my mom's for dinner where she gave me a complete set of stemless martini glasses, and cooked one of my all-time fave dishes : arroz con pollo y platanos {similiar recipe here, except she added green olives with pimento which i think really makes the dish}.  mmm, so good!  we had a mini-celebration on saturday night with friends, and my friend alex even brought me flowers from my BFF claire who just moved to london.  definitely made my night {thank you again claire, xoxo!}

now it's back to the grind at work, with my mind set on decorating the apartment, and upcoming trips this fall {myrtle beach for a wedding + NYC in october}.  hope you're all having a great week!
